About AI features
The built-in AI proxy works on all devices. Apple Intelligence requires iOS 18+ and iPhone 15 Pro or later. You can also connect your own OpenAI or Anthropic API key for unlimited access on any device.
Privacy-first, always
Your travel data stays on your device. We don't have user accounts, don't collect location history, and don't sell data. Calendar events are read on your iPhone and never leave it, and calendar access is read only. Proof documents stay on your device and their text is read on-device too. Network requests only happen when you ask for them: the AI chat, and the document text the on-device parser could not date. Everything else runs locally.

Connect the calendars you already use and every booking in the next three months becomes a trip with a country and dates, feeding your Schengen and residency projections without typing anything. Hotel stays, flights, apartment rentals, conferences, anything with a place and dates counts. You review the first import, after that new trips are added on their own and only the ambiguous ones ask you. It is a Pro feature.
No. Access is strictly read only: Nomad Tracker never creates, edits or deletes an event. It reads only the calendars you select, only the next three months, and matching happens on your iPhone, so your events are never sent anywhere. Turn the feature off and the trips it created are removed, your calendar untouched.
It turns your travel paperwork into documented days. Select as many boarding passes, hotel invoices, entry stamps, receipts or screenshots as you like and the app reads the country and the dates out of each one, then attaches the file to the day it proves. One document can produce several days: a return ticket becomes a departure and a return in two different countries, while a hotel invoice attaches to the first night and shows the nights it covers. Days you never logged are created, duplicates are detected, and anything that contradicts what you already logged goes to a review screen where you decide. It is a Pro feature.
The files themselves never leave your iPhone, and the text is extracted on-device with Apple's OCR. Only when the local date parser cannot work out a date does the extracted text go to the AI provider you picked, and if that provider is Apple Intelligence it stays on the device too. Photos are a separate case and are never read at all: they attach to the day they were taken using the capture date and coordinates already stored in the file.
Yes. Nomad Tracker offers a free trial so you can experience all Pro features before committing. The trial length and pricing vary by region and are shown in the App Store.
Absolutely. You can cancel your subscription at any time through your Apple ID settings. You'll keep Pro access until the end of your billing period.
You keep all your data. The app reverts to the free tier, so you'll still have full access to manual logging, GPS tracking, custom country rules and the Schengen counter. Nothing is deleted. Calendar Sync pauses, and the trips it already imported stay on your device.
Apple adjusts pricing by country and currency. The exact price for your region is shown in the App Store when you tap Subscribe. This ensures you always see the correct local price.
