What you’ll achieve
By the end of this guide you can take a trip back out of a simulation, throw the whole simulation away, or delete a group you no longer plan to use, and see your real numbers return.
One thing to know before you start: a ghost trip cannot be edited. There is no sheet to reopen and no dates to change. Changing a simulated trip means removing it and adding the version you meant, which takes about as long.
Step 1: Open the Ghost Trips sheet
Open the Calendar tab and tap the chip in the top left, the one with a plane and the number of trips.
Everything on this screen is a removal: the rows under Active Simulation, Clear All in the top right, and the rows under Saved Groups.
Step 2: Remove one trip
Swipe a trip row to the left.
A red Delete button appears. Tap it and the trip is gone.
There is no confirmation and no undo, which is the right trade for something that was never part of your record. Rebuilding a leg takes three taps.
A full swipe all the way across removes the row without stopping at the button, so swipe short if you want to think about it first.
Step 3: Clear the whole simulation
Tap Clear All in the top right.
Every ghost trip goes at once, and the sheet falls back to its empty state: No Ghost Trips.
Clear All touches only the active simulation. Anything under Saved Groups is still there, which is the point of having saved it.
Step 4: Delete a saved group
A group is the one thing here that is permanent, so it is the one thing the app asks about.
Swipe the group row to the left and tap Delete.
Delete Group? says what happens: This saved group will be permanently removed. Tap Delete to confirm, or Cancel to keep it.
Deleting a group does not touch the active simulation. If its trips are currently loaded, they stay loaded until you clear them.
Check your result
Open the Dashboard tab.
Three things tell you the simulation is really gone. Year Distribution has no Ghost trips entry and Remaining is back to its full number, the Simulation tile has left the widget strip, and every country card has lost its dashed segment.
The calendar is the fourth check: the months you simulated into have no dashed outlines left, and your logged days are exactly as they were.
If something looks different
You cannot find a row to swipe. The sheet lists the active simulation first and saved groups second. A trip inside a group is not listed on its own; load the group if you want to remove one of its trips.
Swiping the row scrolls the sheet instead. Start the swipe on the row itself and move horizontally. A diagonal drag is read as a scroll.
A country card still shows more days than you logged. Something is still simulated. Reopen the sheet: the chip in the calendar’s top left carries the count, and it disappears entirely when nothing is active.
The dashed days are gone but the trip is still in the list. You are looking at a different month, or at the year the trip is not in. The dashboard shows one fiscal year at a time.
You deleted the wrong trip. There is no undo. Add it again: the dates and the country are all a ghost trip holds.
Clear All did not ask for confirmation. It does not, by design. The active simulation is session state, not data.
Your logged days disappeared too. They cannot. Clearing a simulation only removes simulated days. If a real stay is missing, it was missing before, and Find and fill missing days is the guide for that.
